Are you there GOD? Well, the answer to that would be YES. God has been with us since the beginning of time. Long before we were born, He knew us before we were in our mother’s womb. He knows every hair on our head, every word we speak before we speak it, and he knows the destiny he has designed for us.

So with all that said, why are there times when we find ourselves question if God is there? There have been times in my life that I feel so distant from God, like I was hidden. In reflecting on those time, it made me think of being a child playing Hide and Seek, I would count to 10 then start looking for my siblings. I would go to the closet open the door and say are you here, then look under the bed, are you here and everywhere I looked I would say Are you here? Is is kind of like that with God sometimes. We pray and talk to him, but when we don’t feel his presence, get guidance or see an answer, then what? We start to ask Are You There, GOD?

Throughout the Bible God tells us he is with us more than 50 times. Some of the most popular scriptures at Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Psalm23:4. John14:16-17, Deuteronomy 31:8 and the list goes on and on.God is always with us. Even when we stray from him, he always knows where we are, what we are doing, and he is there. So the next time you think you are playing Hide and Seek with God, it might be you trying to hide from him, not coming to him in complete trust, not surrendering to him. We have to open our heart to God if we want him to open our eyes and our mind. We have to study his word, pray, trust, and share his glory. But most importantly we have to believe in Jesus Christ. You won’t know that God is there until you have an intimate personal relationship with Jesus….You can’t hide, He sees everything….so don’t follow your feelings ….Follow JESUS…..

Dear Jesus,
On my knees before you, you are My Lord and Savior. We are so grateful for our personal relationship with you. You opened my eyes showing us your glory, opening our mind so we can grow through your word and drawing us closer in a more intimate relationship. Lord, help us to walk in trust, surrendering completely to you. Use us Lord as your shining light, help us to lead others to come to follow you. May we never hide from you, but seek your face always. We give you all the praise and glory for your commitment to us. You are with us always. You will never forsake us. You are with us until the end of age. Thank You Jesus for being all we need every day in every way…..In Jesus name…..AMEN
