ARE YOU THERE, GOD? (another thought)

Where do we look for God? Have you ever asked the question, “Are You There, God? “ Our world is so hectic and busy, sometimes I think we miss the Glory of God. We don’t take time to see God in the beauty of nature, a glorious sun rise, the sweet smile of a young child, the hands of a homeless person holding the sign on the street corner, or the elderly person, who sits quietly on the porch.

As I wrote this, I had so many times come to mind when I have seen God’s Glory. I see Him ever present in my life every day. God is ever present.
Psalm 46:1 (NIV) “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”

Our modern world is filled with conveniences that are supposed to make life easier, give us more free time, but it doesn’t exactly work that way. We spend more time with our electronics, on our phones, more time hurrying here and there, and why? Have you ever thought how simple life was before the computer, and before the cell phone? When was the last time you sat down at a desk and wrote a friend a letter? Are you saying like not in forever? We have become so busy, so focused on the modern conveniences and our lives that we have forgotten how to Relax, How to Be Still and WE are missing GOD.

Max Lucado said, “Look to the protection and strength of God. The world can be overwhelming at times, but remember that God has everything under control. Relax in Him

God is always with us.
He is every present.

Through the years, I have watched numerous family members struggle through cancer, terminal illnesses and diseases. Each one of them were at different levels in there walk with Jesus. Each and everyone of them prayed and call out to the Lord. Some even asked the question Are You There, God?  Watching loved ones suffering in pain, we cry out to God for his comfort. I remember setting with my mother in law day after day watching her struggle for every single breathe, thinking God why is she suffering. At times I was every praying that God would take her home and heal her. Those are some of the most difficult times in life, watching a loved on suffer and wondering God, Are you there?

The number of times and the circumstance in which we ask the question ARE YOU THERE, GOD? varies with each of us. But we all know in our hearts that …..

God is ever present.

Charles Stanley said , ” On some days, we may feel as if our world has been shaken and everything we depend upon has slipped into the heart of the sea. But if we put our hope in God, we have no need to fear. He is our unshakable refuge.

If we focus on GOD, it is easy to put your HOPE in him. Take time to see GOD in your life. God is ever present. God is with us always. The next time you are asking God, Are you there? Remember God is always with us because GOD LOVES US.
